Visit directories on unwind?

Sorry, can't come up with the right term for this atm.  Would it be reasonable to have some mechanism so that directories are visited (again?) when unwinding the stack? I.e. after visiting all the files in a directory, to then visit the directory. This would be useful for cleanup (removing now-empty directories) or reduction (zipping, computing directory hashes, etc) operations.
