build git2 without openssl-sys

I am using git2 crate in my project however, I am having difficulties with github build pipeline because it will fail due to the lack of openssl-sys.
I always clone using https, would it be possible to build git2 without openssl-sys?

What was the build failure? And what you're going to use without openssl when using HTTPS?
