features to list in home page

Currently features listed on http://shadow-cljs.org/ is based on my personal usages. I received feedbacks before that I should list features simplified.

Here's my plan, I going to divide features into two kinds:

1. main features, listed with titles, snippets, and descriptions,
2. minor features, listed with simpler descriptions

Features are linked to User Guide with anchors. Meanwhile, I don't care much about mobile experience since I going to make the page richer.

So what features should be listed? Suggestions please?

IMHO there should not be any code on the homepage. Your examples make it look like you can only do :browser builds since none of the node stuff is mentioned. Putting too many examples would make it too complicated.

I would prefer if there was a minimal "template" for each :target that explains what its all about and the entire workflow from dev -> release. I started one a while ago but never got to finishing the docs. https://github.com/shadow-cljs/quickstart-browser. You have many examples in the minimal-xyz org.

Most of the features should be in the User Guide now so its fine to briefly mention a thing and just link to the docs instead of explaining everything in the Template itself.

Maybe reducing to only one snippet, which can be switched by pressing buttons stranding for :target. Other features are listed with links, eventually they will get examples with code in User Guide...

I really don't know. Personally small standalone snippets of code mean nothing to me. I either want a full example that I can run myself or the full docs.

There are several scenarios when visitors come to this page:

• non-web developer, reads descriptions on this page, knows what it is, not related to his/her job, and leaves.
• web developer, non-Clojure user, reads the page, compare it with Webpack, gets impressions about it.
• Junior ClojureScript user, learns what shadow-cljs is capable of, decides whether or not to use shadow-cljs, and read docs for further details
• shadow-cljs users, find links on this page, go to docs or somewhere else.

Kind like some marketing strategy... The page can hardly be useful itself compared to a guide. But it serves various needs. Actually this page looks a lot like https://parceljs.org/ and https://webpack.js.org/ .
