Creating/Pasting Tables

I'm looking to allow users to paste tables or create and edit tables in the editor. Is there any support for this or any plans to add support for this? We were previously using an old version of this same editor and our users had that support. We recently upgraded to the most recent version only to find that it no longer supports tables. Is this accurate?
