Not able to pair with touchmote and dolphin mayflash bar

Hi! I am using a dolphin mayflash bar and touchmote doesn't find my controller to pair.

The bar is set to mode 4

Touchmote works with my dolphinbar fine. It is the primary way I connect my TR Wiimote to my PC. Do you have something like HidHide installed on your system to hide devices from apps?

Hi! Nothing installed like this. Almost a fresh Win 10 System X64. Visual C++ installed from 2015 - 2022 (x86 and x64)

Are you using a genuine wiimote or third party? There are some firmware upgrades for dolphin bar, not sure how this can help anyway.

Coorect. Once the motes are synced, they connect just pressing a button

Weird, didn't have any troubles connecting them, even on latest windows 11. But I use a standard BT dongle. Some user set compatibility to Windows 8, but don't think it will help.

Finally got it work. I installed V 1.0.13 and then the wiimotes connected correctly. But unfortunally the is a option missing. Then i copied the Files from version 1.0.15 and from now on it works.

Didnt knew that there are newer verisons. On the Homepage still 15 is the latest. But the installation constructions ar esimilar to mine lol

Yes, they are all unofficial since touchmote was abandoned many years ago.

They have lot of new stuff, fixes, etc.

We are sharing those builds on touchmote issue 65 thread for a long time. But you can also build from source, since it's available on ryochan7 GitHub or mine. The updated ones are not master branch. That was deprecated.

I used to distribute unofficial builds that were hosted on my Google Drive. I stopped doing that a while ago when I decided that I would not distribute any unsigned binaries that SmartScreen might complain about. Many people see that screen pop up when they first try to run an app and instantly assume the program is a virus. Nowadays I post my changes on GitHub and tell people to compile from source if they want to try it themselves.

I just do it for people like me. I know how frustrating is seeing the source code and dont know what to do with it.

A year ago I had no idea how to compile, how to makes changes on GitHub or how to run git commands among many other things.

Now I really appreciate finding source code from apps I like rather than only binaries.

But understand from a dev point of view it's not funny at all receiving reports of false av positives.

And to be honest, latest official build is awful compared to newer builds. The IR pointer is barely usable on official build. I guess many people never use touchmote again after trying that official build.

And having more people using it, help us all to make it better.

Is there a how to? Just read, that install the official build first, then copy files. Install Vigem Driver and Calibration Tool into installation folder of touchmote. How is the calibration working?

That's why I tried to do some kind of wiki too. But still missing many things.

Calibration tool is a separate app. No need to copy on touchmote folder.

When you run calibration tool it will give you final calibration values that you need to copy and put them on touchmote settings.json file. You will see the same names with other values, just replace them with your values. Remember to have touchmote closed when doing changes to settings.json or will be overwrited.
