HOMER + Cloudshark

Cloudshark is a great companion tool for HOMER and it easily allows sharing sessions with external parties without sharing access to your server/infrastructure. HOMER was the very first application to integrate with Cloudshark and it's still great at the job.

Configuring CLOUDSHARK Exporting

Step 1

Configure HOMER to Export to CloudShark

  • Edit your HOMER API Preferences (api/preferences.php)
Parameter value description notes
CLOUD_STORAGE 1 Enable Cloud functionality (1)
CLOUD_STORAGE_API API_KEY Configure using your CloudShark API Key upload rights required
CLOUD_STORAGE_URI https://www.cloudshark.org Configure to point at your Cloudshark URI for Enterprise use own url

Step 2

Use HOMER to locate a Session (or Session Group) to share with a remote Customer

Step 3

Browse to the Export Tab and select the "Share Cloud" button to upload to Cloudshark API

Step 4

The HOMER UI will return a direct link to the Cloudshark session, ready to share with Customers!

Step 5

Job Done! You Cloudshark PCAP is ready to be shared with 3rd parties and Customers!

Step 6 (optional)

Install the commercial RTP-Agent Add-On to intercept and feed selective SIP + RTP Packets directly to Cloudshark API:
