Do Gestures need to be created inside components?

If we consider an example from official documentation:

    </GestureDetector>

Do I necessarily need to put const native = Gesture.Native(); inside of the component?

Can't I just:

const native = Gesture.Native();

export default function App() {
  return (
    <GestureDetector gesture={native}>
      <ScrollView style={{ flex: 1 }}>
        <ScrollableContent scrollGesture={native} />
      </ScrollView>
    </GestureDetector>
  );
}

?

You can create them anywhere you want.

While we suggest to create gestures inside components, doing it outside of them shouldn't break anything.

Basically when you do:

const native = Gesture.Native()

you create config for your gesture. The actual handler is created by GestureDetector, so it shouldn't change behavior.
