unable to update spyder

Description

What steps will reproduce the problem?

I pressed the recommended upgrade notification, but then facing a "multiple error occurred" message and was unable to upgrade. I was using the spyder installed under anaconda. I had also tried to upgrade spyder in the anaconda navigator but failed as well.

To do that, please close Spyder, open the Anaconda Prompt (on Windows) or a terminal (on macOS or Linux) and run there

conda install spyder=6
