We have integrated Stripe Identity into our app and are currently running usability tests to evaluate whether users understand how to verify their identity.

We have found that most users do not recognize the opt-in that allows Stripe to use selfies to enhance the biometric verification as an actual opt-in.

5 in 8 users just clicked it because they thought they had to click it to proceed.
2 in 8 users explicitly asked if they had to opt-in.
1 in 8 users recognized it as an opt-in and did not opt in.

To improve the UX, please add an "(optional)" tag to the opt-in text to explicitly declare the checkbox as an opt-in.
