Node v20 Beta Testers Needed

Hey all. Getting ready to upgrade to Node v20 soon. Thanks to @samk2b for putting together 2 PR's for njsPC and dP.

If you have time, please pull and test:

• njsPC node v20 - Config Resilience, RS‑485 Pacing, Docker Publishing, Node 20+, bug fixes #1125
• njsPC-dP node v20 - Updates and to the dash panel rstrouse/nodejs-poolController-dashPanel#98
• REM node v20 branch

As of 11/6/25 I have 8.3 with node 20 running on a pi5 and pizero-2 with no issues so far. I have not been able to install REM on the PIzero (build bombs out) but the version built on the pI5 and copied to the zero runs just fine.

Thanks for the feedback. The Pi Zero has been a tricky one for other users. It seems to build if you have nothing else running, but otherwise runs out of memory. This includes the default PM2 configuration which rebuilds on every launch (but you can change it to run node dist/app and it starts up fine).

An additional aside to the node 20 testing is that I've upgraded to Trixie from Bookworm with no current issues with the node 18 version 8.1 and node 20 version 8.3. Running on Pi5 and zero 2.
