Tailwind with rollup does not process class attributes

This might not be the correct spot to ask and it could possibly fit better over at rollup but maybe someone here could help me anyway. Anything would be very much appreciated.

I have created a Stackoverflow question regarding my problem. I'm trying to create a component library with tailwind and want any consuming app to not need to install tailwind. However my problem is that tailwind classes in the class attributes don't get converted so an app can use the components of the library without tailwind properly.

Is that a stupid approach or is it just needed to also install tailwind in any consuming app?
