Kosh V2 User Testing

Sign Up Flow:

• Replace instruction to add special character with do not include special character.
• Even after clicking on link in verification email the account isn't activated.
• For some users verification link was not clickable. They had to copy paste it.
• Some users could click on the link but when after entering details on the Kosh login screen the page is stuck 'in a loop'.
• Could not login using the admin/ author credentials

Datasets:

• Elections meme dataset: page 1 and 3 are the same
• NSFW posts (page 10, 11) of the archive
• Fact check media item metadata is null
• The metadata for election memes data set should have all the metadata from the original dataset
• Pagination is not consistent. Moving forward and backward gives you different results.

URL Issues:

• kosh.tattle.co.in/app is not directly reachable
• url sharing is not functional

UI Issues

• filters are not functional at the moment
• when search does not return results there should be a message saying no messages found.
• can we enable search by a particular language
• The detailed page should have complete text instead fo code snippet
• Wrap the text where possible
• search working for Bengali not Tamil
• default role for everybody is author right now, but it should be reader
• add forgot my password link

Search

• Investigate search result quality for text and image search
• Look into the sort order for returned images. Identical image not the first returned.
