How to import a target vocabulary?

Hi, We have a TemaTres instance with a vocabulary called Norwegian Subject Headings (NEO). So far, it exists only in the language Norwegian Bokmål, However, we want to offer it as a multilingual vocabulary, with Norwegian Nynorsk as the second language. To accomodate this I have created an internal target vocabulary instance.
My question is now how to populate the target library in an efficient manner.
As a basis we have a straight forward spreadsheet with the mappings between terms in the two languages. I have tried multiple variants of the import facilities in TemaTres, but any import actions seem to populate the main vocabulary only (or none at all).
Is manual editing the only option? The vocabularu contains more that 10000 terms, so that would be a frightful job. Please advise.

Tematres supports two models for developing multilingual vocabularies: the Pivot Model (one central vocabulary and N satellite vocabularies) and a Federated Model (N vocabularies mapped to each other).

For small projects or those involving "minority languages," the Pivot Model may be a suitable solution. It allows for unified management of the vocabulary as a whole as well as user administration.

For large projects with actively used natural languages, a Federated Model may be more effective. It enables specialized editors for each language and a language-specific scheme for alternative terms. It is also possible to use both models simultaneously.

The Federated Model provides three mechanisms for associating terms:

1. Search from one vocabulary to another using a search expression.
2. Search from one vocabulary to another using a shared notation or code between terms (as in the case of UDC or others).
3. Reverse Mapping: A vocabulary B detects that a mapping exists from vocabulary A and automatically performs the reverse mapping.

Unfortunately, I have not found a functional model that allows for a massive mapping and correspondence process without potentially creating consistency issues. We can test it, but it would be an experimental approach.

However, we do have programming routines that allow us to generate mappings in bulk through specially designed scripts. If you'd like, we can try this approach in your case.
