My E-commerce Capstone Project
Overview
My project involved creating an e-commerce store with some functionality. The tech stack I used involved:
- SpringBoot
- Spring Security
- Java
- Maven
- HTML, CSS, and Javascript
- MySQL(database)
- Hibernate
- GitHub, Atom, and SourceTree, respectively
- Trello
- IntelliJ
Highlights learned from the project include:
Hands on experience with building a SpringBoot project was awesome! Seeing a project come to life is the most exhilirating feeling. Building a project from front end to back end requires a tremendous amount of detail and focus. With this being a first time build, I look forward to learning more and building upon the skills I learned.
Some of the challenges I faced were: figuring out what was what(lol), where things went, and how everything came together. We learned so much in such a short time, and with the material being new, there were moments of uncertainty. While building the project was truly exhilirating, at times, doubt would set in and cause me to rethink my approach and question what I had learned. I used those times to take a break, relax, and resume forth with the project. I look forward to improving upon my skills and understanding more as I grow as a developer.
