Titan development is stalled? #1379
Comments
Your observation about the Titan development seems to be accurate.
Long story short, a new project hosted by the Linux Foundation, JanusGraph,
has been created as a fork of Titan and is being actively developed. See
http://janusgraph.org/ and specifically
http://docs.janusgraph.org/0.1.0-SNAPSHOT/upgrade.html where it mentions
some specifics about moving from Titan.

Looks like the last commits/merge on this repo are years old now. Where is
this project going? Is it on the way to becoming an Apache project? Of the
900+ forks, where is there any active development going on?

It looks like JanusGraph work on Titan began with Recent commit/issue/PR activity on JanusGraph appears to re-brand the project, update dependencies and fix bugs (possibly develop features). I need to find the docs on the installation dependency versions (or a recent Debian package for JanusGraph; or a decent vagrant box). |
I think I found what I was looking for in I'm working on a vagrant sandbox for getting started at |
TitanDB is retired, there are a few closed issues about this topic and an outstanding PR to update the readme status. There's a new project called JanusGraph which is now part of the Linux foundation. It starts with the foundations of TitanDB and has more interest and backing then before. https://opensource.googleblog.com/2017/01/janusgraph-connects-past-and-future-of-titan.html The first version 0.1.0 has just been released: https://github.com/JanusGraph/janusgraph/releases |
I was wondering if this can solve the real-time route planning with TMC data. |
