I think a Blackmagic/Dronecode instrument would be nice.

Would like to contribute this feature myself, but I need some initial hints how to start.

That'd be awesome! The place to start is to look at the JLink fixture here -> https://github.com/thirtytwobits/nanaimo/blob/master/src/nanaimo/instruments/jlink/__init__.py

I imagine the blackmagic instrument would be similar?
