testing is hard, but we should do it

in additon to testing each api endpoint, we should have a mock instance with constant data for a proper integration test.

I'd love to help with testing! I know this is a bit old (6 years old now!), but I'm looking into writing a GTK4/Libadwaita Mastodon client as there are no decent maintained clients for Linux, and came across this, as I'd like to write it with Rust, since I might be most comfortable with that.
