can not push incoming message in state: Closed

On current main when running the bench with

./bin/runner bench -c bench_download_sweep_40k.toml -o native_download_40k.csv

I get

Error: rpc error: prover bench failed: internal error caused by: backend error: internal error: "state error: can not push incoming message in state: Closed"

the actual bench_download_sweep_40k.toml config is:

the problem is intermittent, you may need to run a few dozen samples before it triggers
