Hi,

  1. is it possible to add Alerts based on Warnings/Criticals we see on DBADash Summary page? For example, failed SQL Agent job or missing Full backup?
  2. is it possible to add Alerts based on Running Queries? For example, to trigger an alert when query is running longer than xx seconds?

Thanks

Agreed, those would be very helpful. If you wanted to take #2 a step further, if you calculated the average run time of a statement and it falls X% outside of the median or something, alert on it. But as a start just a basic running longer than X with the ability to exclude from future alerting for those that are known long-runners would be great.

The idea of the summary page is to make the daily check process easier. It highlights things that need your attention but many of those things might not need your immediate attention. There is some overlap and some things you might want an alert on. Some parts might become available as alerts in the future.

It would be useful to have alerts based on Running Queries. e.g. Long running queries, blocking (which can also be done with waits or performance metrics but running queries would allow for some different thresholds).
