A single incident could trigger many alert notification messages. Instead of receiving a flood of notification messages, receiving a single consolidated notification would be better.
In other cases, the individual notifications can work better - particularly with threaded conversations. A configurable alert consolidation threshold will allow users to set their preferences for consolidated alerts.
