power consumed , semantic and units

Hi , first a big thanks for your project which helps us to keep control over the house.
Just installed my V1 board ( still have 2 boards available if anyone interrested).

i see over all the parameters and values shown on homeassistant that the units and vocabulary are not consistent for the :
Power Consumed Heating Element
Power Consumed Heatpump
Power Consumed Total

this is not power but energy (all 3 values are monotonically increasing).
so the semantic should be something like :
Energy Consumed Heating Element
Energy Consumed Heatpump
Energy Consumed Total

the unit shoud be wh.
( on my picture the total is lower than the other values... go figure , maybe its not a total value.)

Which heat pump do you have? Which protocol has it? Legacy?

Hi , this is apparently a thermor aeromax (i would say 5) , i cannot find the exact ref , and yes the protocol is set to legacy ( and serial in 8N1)

We have the exact same issue in #97, the protocol seems to be LEGACY but actually it is interpreted differently. Maybe some other values are also faulty (temperatures). Maybe you can check what software versions your HMI and Controller have - and if AquaMQTT is able to parse HMI Software Version in MQTT.

So this is no general bug, it only appears with certain heatpumps and there will be a manual switch to get that fixed.

@tspopp i was checking on the HMI , i found no HMI software version in any menu.
do you acknowledge the first part of the bug which is the titel of the value ? power consumed is an energy , or should it really be a power ?

@ouinouin did you chceck the manual for "maintanance menu"? For me it was holding the up_button+Menu, only there I could find the HMI version
