Feature request
When a map has many layers organized in layer groups, the data browser (left panel) opens with all groups expanded by default. This makes it hard to get an overview of all available layers, as the user has to scroll through a long list to see everything.
Desired behavior
An option to set the initial state of layer groups in the data browser — ideally a map-level setting like:
"Collapse all layer groups on load" (default: expanded)
Use case
I have a map with 10+ layers organized into several named groups. When the map loads, all groups are expanded, which pushes most of them out of view. Collapsing them by default would let the user see all groups at once and choose what to explore.
Workaround
None currently available in the UI.
