Cleaning up old events

I noticed a lot of sorted sets sitting around from a few days ago that won't ever be used again.

Is there a way to automatically remove old token buckets that won't be used anymore? Or should I just periodically run a script to clean up old keys?

Hi there,

The SDK doesn't currently remove these but we can update it so that it does.

These sorted sets are created when limit is called while analytics is enabled. I wouldn't want to call EXPIRE everytime limit is called. An alternative is to check for expired buckets in the console when the ratelimit dashboard is opened. Do you use the dashboard frequently?

@CahidArda Thanks for the reply. I don't use the dashboard yet as I've mainly been developing locally. In the future I do expect to use the dashboard.

It would be cool to have a method in the SDK like flushExpiredTokenBuckets() that can just be called on a cron schedule, as I agree calling expire on every call would be overkill. This also doesn't necessarily need to be part of the SDK but it would be nice to see documentation on it.
