use isomorphic-webpack for bundling static assets with ssr

I'm feeling quite stupid, because I really don't understand what it does. It doesn't click for me.
Would you mind describing how it would be useful to our codebase, since we already have isomorphic SSR?

using isomorphic-webpack we can import static assets directly in jsx. eg. images or scss files
