Is there a way to collect instruction trace for benchmark that does not have gem5 support?

I want to ask if there's a way to collect x86 instruction trace for benchmark that does not have gem5 support such as Video Processing, RNN serving?

Maybe with pin (does not trace kernel code) or qemu?
I've heard people doing that for other workloads but never tried it myself.
