Description
zram may be a worthwhile option to consider to optimize RAM usage on Volumio as discussed here.
Several distributions successfully use it with overlay rootfs, like openHABian and piCorePlayer to name few.
Some interesting config script may serve as inspiration too.
This issue is just a placeholder for interested parties to discuss / contribute.
