Change Focus Bug in MS Edge in MacOS

Issue:
Currently in edge when you use createWebHistory any window change automatically steals focus, see video attached

This is happening on MacOS 26.4.1
Edge version: Version 147.0.3912.86 (Official build) (arm64)

Has anybody reached out to Microsoft/Edge support? This only happens on Windows + Edge and it's recent so I suspect it's a regression in Edge but I could be wrong. I think this changed in #2537 but that has been out for 6 months

So I did a little digging and you were right, The issue seems to have been introduced in #2537
visibility change fired even when the tab was inactive, this called history.replaceState() and that triggered the window focus

I opened a PR #2704 to fix this.

So here's what is happening now

• Focus is no longer stolen on Edge
• Safari on IOS retains scroll position on reload
