Rendering of consecutive citations

Hello

I noticed that consecutive citations are rendered as [1,2,3,4] rather than as [1-4]. What would I have to change to make it look like the latter? I was not yet able to find a solution online. In an earlier thesis of a co-worker, made with a previous version of the template (September 2024), the citations do look like [1-4] but they do not in the more recent template I have (March 2025).

Hello

Adding \usepackage{cite} to the preamble solved the issue. Perhaps this can be added to the template?
