highlight text is supper laggy in docs Firefox Mac

Highlight text in Google docs is supper laggy when the extension is turned on. I'm on Firefox 153.0 (aarch64) on Macos Sequoia 15.7.4 Apple M4 Pro. Turning the extension off resolves the issue. Love the extension, hope you can fix it.
