Since the hack relies on slightly changing the sourcecode to load custom javascript,
I guess a Firefox / Chrome extension could do it as well, providing nice local-recording (with audio, of all participants) solution and a nice workaround

(Note, coming from jitsi/jitsi-meet#6014)
