thanks for posting the question! do you see any errors in the terminal? when you say portfolio, what exactly is missing here. it's the portfolio on the dashboard or the portfolio page. can you see other information on the dashboard?

Also you will need to enable API access and click on a few consents on tws to allow api to access your portfolio

It doesnt load my portfolio even though it seems to be connected. There are several client IDs indicated and its green/connected in the gateway overview
I actually used the api before, with connecting to python bots. So I think from that perspective all should be fine.

can you see http://127.0.0.1:5000/api/portfolio/ being called in network? and do you see any data being shown in the dashboard?

The UI loads all nicely but it doesnt seem to be able to fetch the portfolio, all values in all pages are basically 0.
Using ibgateway, it says 3 clients are connected in green.
Is maybe the problem im using a non margin cash account?

From the logs the single error Im seeing is "Not connected to IB during market hours" which doesnt make sense

I haven't fully tested on windows machine yet. this could be why. I will be testing on windows this weekend if you can wait.

🔍 What does this mean exactly?
The ib_insync library expects to run its async functions (like accountSummaryAsync, etc.) within the context of a running asyncio event loop. But your API is running with Waitress, a WSGI server that is not async-capable.

And this is the core issue:

Waitress starts threads (waitress-1, waitress-2, …), but these threads do not have an event loop – and ib_insync tries to call asyncio.get_event_loop(), which then fails.

thanks for providing debug info. waitress is a package for windows users to run this. I will definitely look into this and please give me a few days for my windows to arrive lol.
