Superstore Sales Analysis

This repository contains the files and resources for analyzing sales data from a sample Superstore dataset. The analysis is performed using Power BI, with a focus on various metrics such as profit, sales, and return orders.

Files

• SuperStore.pbix: Power BI report file containing the visualizations and data models for the Superstore sales analysis.
• Sample - Superstore.xls: Excel file with the raw data used for the analysis. This dataset includes information on orders, returns, and regional sales data.

Analysis Overview

The Power BI report includes the following metrics and analyses:

• Sales: Total sales figures across different regions, categories, and time periods.
• Profit: Analysis of profit margins and contributions by various segments.
• % Returned Orders: Percentage of orders that were returned, segmented by various dimensions.
• Year-over-Year Comparison (PY): Comparison of key metrics such as sales, profit, and return orders with the previous year.

Usage

1. Open the SuperStore.pbix file in Power BI Desktop to explore the visualizations and insights.
2. Use the Sample - Superstore.xls file for any additional analysis or data exploration outside of Power BI.
