Looks great! Is that using some parts of the svgs I sent you?

Only comments are questions:

1. Do you mind me using the gdc-ico.ico image?
2. Am I to expect any howling creatures? :o)

OK, I tried this out. I feel that the DC letters could be a little closer together here.

I made a special G based on the SVG you sent me but it looked too busy alongside the special D. I'll check if I saved it. The gibbous G is a compromise.
I suppose it depends on which letter is most important, the G or the D?

Yes, you can use the icon, I hadn't meant to leave that circle on the doodle sheet so its a happy accident if you want to use it ^^

Turns out the only wild life on Mars is robotic, so I abandoned the wolf idea ^^

I tried to match the spacing of the old logo, but I have a tendency to over quantise.

Will revise and update pull, as long as git doesn't bite me (this was my first ever PR).

Conspiracy theorists would say that can't be proven or disproven.

In any case I gave a shot at some in pr #6 so feel free to have a look. If you want the svgs I can send them. I would say they just need some professional touch to them. But then again I made them using my limited inkscape skills on a mouse-less laptop.
