Just want some opinions on how it looks and such.

I like it.

Maybe add a little box-shadow under the nav-bar? By removing is-transparent and adding box-shadow: 0px -1px 2px:

The is-transparent class only makes it so that when you hover over the nav items, the grey background does not appear. As well, the drop-down animation is smoother. I personally think it looks better this way.

As for the box shadow effect, I think it might look better being flat instead of the distinct separation once we start adding things into the main page but that's for you to decide.
