Summary

• Retire playground navigation, metadata, workflow-page and credits entries as charts-playground is being archived due to limited maintenance time.
• Remove playground asset rewrites and cache rules. Permanently redirect legacy /playground and /static/playground URLs, including nested paths, to the current stable interactive demo using HTTP 308.
• Update the README and link checks. Developer content remains owned by charts and arrives through the existing automatic sync.
• Companion publishing cleanup: HDCharts/charts, branch chore/retire-playground.

Local Validation

• Passed: bash scripts/test-docs-release-links-contract.sh.
• Passed: cd docs-app && npm test (24 tests).
• Passed: cd docs-app && npm run build (161 pages, including TypeScript checking).
• Passed: Next.js routing checks for 10 retired URL variants returning HTTP 308 to the stable demo; homepage, demo, wiki, and workflow routes remain unaffected.
• Passed: generated HTML checks for playground links and visible text on the homepage, workflow, credits, snapshot wiki, and release/snapshot metadata pages.
• Passed: generated sitemap contains no playground URLs.
• Passed: git diff --cached --check.

ESLint could not start because the installed typescript-eslint rejects TypeScript 7.0. Dependency and lint configuration files are unchanged.
