Mypy 1.16

We’ve just uploaded mypy 1.16 to the Python Package Index (PyPI). Mypy is a static type checker for Python. This release includes new features and bug fixes. You can install it as follows:

python3 -m pip install -U mypy

Since mypy 1.17.1 does not list any security fix, I would hold this PR until the others in the pipeline get merged, this way we can avoid an additional rebase of the PRs branches.

The version bump itself seems fine, but I think it might be more elegant to do all the version bumps dependabot suggests at once? That'd also avoid the ugly git history issue with merge from main.
