crowdfund-scholarships

This is for people in the Jaaga Study program - http://jaaga.in/study - to create a platform for crowdfunding student scholarships . A. SETUP GIT AND PULL REPO FROM GITHUB(Pull,Push).

 1. Setup your Git:

      $ git config --global user.name "XXXXX"
      $ git config --global user.email [email protected]

 -> Simple follow this link before cloning: https://help.github.com/articles/generating-ssh-keys

 2. How to Pull Repo. from GITHUB.(Remember, You should pull this Repo. insde the /var/www/ Directory)

      $ cd /var/www
      $ git clone [email protected]:Jaaga/crowdfund-scholarships.git

 3.You have to add Remote, where you can push your changes:

      $ git remote add origin https://github.com/Jaaga/crowdfund-scholarships.git

      Note: you can change "origin" to any other name you like.

 4. Git init,add,commit,pull and push commands:

      $ git init
      $ git add .
      $ git commit -m "some msg"
      $ git pull origin master
      $ git push origin master
      $ git remote rm origin // only if remote is already exists.

      Note: origin master is optional is some cases.

B. InstallING LAMP:

 1. You can install LAMP with command:
     $ sudo apt-get install lamp-server^

          or
  You can follow instruction provided here:
  https://www.digitalocean.com/community/articles/how-to-install-linux-apache-mysql-php-lamp-stack-on ubuntu

 2. One important thing to take care of, by defautl mysqli() is not configured for PHP, so we have to add some changes to php.ini file and with the command below:

     $ sudo subl /etc/php5/apache2/php.ini

         add line "extension=mysqli.so" somewhere in line 859 just below "extension=mysql.so"
         this will enable user to use mysqli syntax inside PHP.

 3. Run Your project inside browser by going to the link:

              localhost/crowdfund-scholarships/index.php

C. Import DB inside Mysql:

 1. move inside the dir. /var/www/crowdfund-scholarships/ // If LearnEmp.sql is present here, which is obvious
 2. then run :
    $ mysql -u root -p

    mysql > source LearnEmp.sql // This will create a DB with all tables inside it.

Export DB from Mysql:

 1. If you have made some changes to DB,you can import this DB into a .sql file with command from terminal:

 Move into the Dir. "/var/www/crowdfund-scholarships" if you want to export .sql file inside your project.

 /var/www/crowd..$ mysqldump -u root -p DB_name > LearnEmp.sql   // You can change name but DB_name should point the

D. command for streaming the apache error log tail -f /var/log/apache2/error.log

E. DB you wanted to export

F. IF NOT ABLE TO REMOVE DATA FROM MYSQL,(TRUNCATE) FOLLOW THESE STEPS: Inside MySql terminal:

mysql>  SET FOREIGN_KEY_CHECKS = 0; -- Disable foreign key checking.
mysql>  TRUNCATE TABLE table_name;
mysql>  TRUNCATE TABLE table_name;
mysql>  SET FOREIGN_KEY_CHECKS = 1; -- Enable foreign key checking.
