As commented in #196:

Worth adding that not all devices support this. Many uclogic devices also have LIBINPUT_IGNORE_DEVICE=1 in udev files which means that even forcefully loading the kernel module will not work - they also need to bypass the udev rule temporarily.

Converting to draft until fixed. Suggestions on how to word this are welcome.
