Partners

We will have meeting in the following weeks (probably next one) with Tourism Montreal. (Summary here)

The idea is to get from them some help and ask for any legal and logistics question we can find. What's on the table for our first meeting with them is:

  • charged blocs 4 hours
  • around : xx$ : xx$/day/track x 5 tracks x 3 days

What we should do:

  • get stats on the locals in the conf (ex.: Atlanta, Chicago)
  • figure out if we want for the conference itself or for education stuff

** Volunteers

  • lrojas

Coordination

Me, mlhamel, i'm taking care of coord of all local things and that's what need to be done:

  • add section "local organizers" on github Staff wiki page
  • add a page on our site also?

What we've figured out

  • there's no need for local treasurer, now
  • we ill create mtlpy emails for people in team
  • our goal is to be able to have scrum on fronts for next meetings and like that have short meetings

Fronts

There's a couple of new fronts:

  • Software carpentry: -- Greg Ward confirms

  • OpenStreetMap (PdC, MIG, etc.) -- guillaumep -- greg

  • MIG (Montreal Insiders Guide) -- We want a 'cabane à sucre' but somebody will have to stand up and make it happen

  • Transportation -- Nilo should talk to some poeple at Bixi to know if it will fit for our dates

  • MOSMOSS - Montreal-on-site MOntreal-sur-site -- We wants artists -- beer : Benelux, PyCon beer jpcaissy and giotta are on it, we need talk to PdC

Thank you everyone, i'm adding you to github later tonight and probably start creating some tasks for the stuff that we've already identified.

I've already talk today with Paola from Tourism Montreal and she's available next week on Tuesday and Wednesday, the ones who would like to be there and would like to help/ask questions to Paola please confirm in the following doodle: http://doodle.com/a668s6svrgyutzsg
