tgz extension is a synonym of a gzip tar file and is correctly handled by the docker ADD command. This extension is used in the wild by python for its source tar file https://www.python.org/ftp/python/3.8.3/Python-3.8.3rc1.tgz

tgz extension is use to represent a gzip tar file and is correctly extracted by the docker ADD command. It should therefore be part of the list of accepted extension
