React Beginner Workshop

Installation

$ git clone https://github.com/Robert-OP/react-workshop.git
$ cd react-workshop
$ yarn
$ yarn start

Prerequisites

1. Install Git. Check correct installation with "git --version"
2. Install Git. Check correct installation with "git --version"
3. Install Node.js. Check correct installation with "npm --version" and "node --version"
4. Install Yarn. Check correct installation with "yarn --version"
5. Restart your machine to be sure you have everything in PATH.

Technologies

• React
• Material-UI
• ReactComponents repository - get familiar with already built DHI React components

Agenda

• 13.00 – 13.10: React introduction – state, props, functional components, hooks
• 13.10 – 13.30: 1st half coding round – tech check, clone repository & build simple component
• 13.30 – 13.35: coffee break + I`ll be actively taking questions & helping people
• 13.35 – 13.55: 2nd half coding round – DHI ReactComponents
• 13.55 – 14.00: wrap-up & discuss if ( we should have a follow-up workshop && say goodbye ) !
