The goal behind this is to restructure the SCSS in a way brings consistency and maintainability across the website as a whole.
While working on this we'll need to keep in mind of styles changes being made to the master branch and reflect on those to prevent future conflicts. It's also important that while the this is a major refactor that none of the changes are breaking in anyway, so I'll need some help keep tract of that through changes made on this PR.
Another important factor will be creating clear documentation on style declarations and rules that don't completely make sense at glance.
