I'm on windows 7 x64, this is a clean install from http://www.siftsoft.com/inprogress/forknews.html (sbcl-1.1.0.36.mswinmt.1201-284e340-x86-64.msi installer).
Oddly enough, the standalone version works fine (http://archive.siftsoft.com/sbcl/sbcl-ci-exe-1.1.0.36.mswinmt.1201-284e340-x86-64.zip).
