Why?
Expo is framework for building apps for mobile and web. It is emerging as the primary framework for React Native development, according to the State of React Native 2024 Survey. Since version 50, they've added support for the server via a feature called API Routes. With Expo's popularity for mobile, API Routes is likely to see significant usage. However, there is no Apollo Server integration for use with Expo API Routes.
