Required to remove deprecated --pod-container-infra-image flag from the kubelet's extra args. As part of upgrade, following changes were made:

  • Some architecture related packer variables which previously defaulted to amd64 upstream now have no default, set to amd64 downstream
  • containerd_service_url is now required
  • Moved to install containerd instead of cri-containerd-cni and bumped to 1.7.29 as expected upstream
  • Split crictl url override into base url and filename to match upstream
