Hello there 👋

I'm Matheus, a Software Engineer with a PhD in Neuroscience, currently working on AI infrastructure and backend systems using Python and Rust.

What I work with

  • Python — backend services, APIs, data processing, developer tooling, and large-scale production systems.
  • Rust — performance-critical components and Python/Rust integrations.
  • AI Infrastructure — Model Context Protocol (MCP), plugin systems, gateways, and developer tooling.
  • React / TypeScript — frontend interfaces and internal tools.
  • Tauri — desktop applications combining Rust and web technologies.

Background

Before moving into software engineering, I worked in neuroscience research, where I used Python extensively for data analysis, signal processing, and scientific computing.

Today, I focus on building reliable, extensible, and high-performance software, with a particular interest in AI infrastructure, backend engineering, and open-source development.
