First release.
Install: download xtime-1.0.0.zip below, unzip it somewhere permanent, open chrome://extensions, turn on Developer mode, click Load unpacked, pick the folder.
Leave the folder where it is — Chrome loads the extension from that path. Not in Downloads.
What it does
- Counts X only while the tab is visible, the window is focused, and you've touched something in the last 45 seconds. Unmuted video you chose to watch counts; muted autoplay in the feed doesn't.
- Blow your daily limit (default 30 min) and X is taken over by a full-screen card that escalates at 1×, 1.5×, 2× and 3×.
- Two doors out: close the tab, or earn 5 more minutes by reading a fresh article on AI / agentic dev and writing 50 words of your own about it. Paste is off.
- Block X now in the popup walls it immediately, and the wall survives a reload.
No backend, no model, no API key, no telemetry. Nothing leaves your machine.
