### Codex

Install the kubernetes MCP server using the codex cli directly:

```shell
codex mcp add kubernetes -- npx -y "kubernetes-mcp-server@latest"
```

Otherwise add the following section to your `~/.codex/config.toml`:

```toml
[mcp_servers.kubernetes]
command = "npx"
args = ["-y", "kubernetes-mcp-server@latest"]
```

See the output of `codex mcp add --help` for further configuration details.

The `npx` tool comes from the `npm` toolkit.
