### MYSQL native parquet export to S3
Arcion now provides a way to snapshot data from Amazon hosted MYSQL instance in parquet format to S3 buckets.
Add below additional fields in the connection configuration file:
```YAML
# Below entries are valid if extraction method is MYSQL_AWS_RDS
aws-db-instance-id: <db-instance-id>
stage-conn-config:
key-id: <access-key>
secret-key: <secret-key>
region: "us-west-2"
type: MYSQL_S3
root-dir: "replicate-stage/test" #specify a directory in S3 which can be used to stage bulk-load files.
conn-url: <bucket_name> # specify bucket name e.g. arcion-replicate-bucket
assume-role:
enable: true
role-arn: <role-arn>
encryption:
type: NONE
key: <kms-key-id>
```

## II. Set up filter configuration (optional)
If you want to define filter rules for source MySQL, specify the them in the filter configuration file. You can find a sample filter configuration file in the `filter/` directory of your [Arcion self-hosted CLI download]({{< ref "docs/quickstart/arcion-self-hosted#download-replicant-and-create-replicant_home" >}}).
