Sleepwalker Source Code

About Sleepwalker

Sleepwalker was initally created at PegJam, a two day TigJam in Winnipeg. Sandy Debreuil did the art and many of the levels, and Robin did the programming (using Swf2XNA). The shaders were done by Sky, and the input, some physics and camera (and movement mechanism idea!) was Free. Robin and Sandy then spent two weeks finishing it up. So it took about one person month altogether.

It spent about three weeks in playtest/peer review, where it receive a lot of very valuable feedback (thanks!). It went live on XBLIG on July 12, 2010.

Sales

So how did it do? We actually keep all our sales stats online here (you can also graph your own sales stats there btw):

Sales graphs for Sleepwalker

We had 1400 sales after 10 days (as of this writing), at 80 MS points each (about $1 USD). Not sure how the ‘tail’ will look yet (now is around 2200 sales). The next game will obviously take less time and benefit from what we’ve learned, so these numbers are pretty encouraging for us. If you have any moderately popular Flash games and some spare time, they are probably worth porting. XNA is fun.
